New Vicks Mini Filter Free Cool Mist Humidifier

Sponsored Review

November 10, 2014
It's here. Cold and flu season. Whether we like it or not, it can't be avoided. Vicks is a company that I always turn to when I need to alleviate my symptoms.

I recently had the opportunity to review the Vicks Mini Filter Free Cool Mist Humidifier and I'm in love! A small size humidifier that I can put in my child's room without a worry. The humidifier uses cool water and puts out a nice cool mist that makes it safe for your child's room. It is very easy to use and easy to get set up and ready to go. It fills up nicely and does not create a mess. I love that you can adjust the amount of humidity that you need with the variable control knob. You can also put Vicks VapoPads in the scent drawer for up to 8 hours of soothing scents. The .5 gallon tank allows up to 20 hours of operation, so I'm able to leave it on all night when the kids are sleeping.

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends using cool mist humidifiers in a nursery or bedroom to help relieve congestion in infants and toddlers. Numerous scientific studies also suggest that homes kept at 40-60 percent relative humidity are likely to have fewer flu viruses lingering in the air and on commonly-touched surfaces like sink faucets, door handles, and countertops.
