Nutritional Counseling at The Fitness Lounge

Plan a Diet That is Personal to You!

As a nutritional therapy practitioner, I take a lifestyle-changing approach to making improvements in the body. I believe it takes more than just a quick fix to truly make lasting and effective changes. Nutritional therapy is a holistic approach to determining needs and correcting imbalances in the body in order to live in optimal health and wellness. When the body is out of balance in a particular area, other areas suffer because there is a domino effect. Our organs and body systems are interconnected and work in relationship with one another.

The imbalances and needs of a client are determined by using the Nutri-Q questionnaire as well as hands-on functional analysis testing. This approach allows your body to tell us what support it needs. This support for the imbalances comes through a properly prepared, nutrient-dense, whole food diet as well as supplementation when necessary. Once a food has been highly processed, which is very common in America, there is no combination of fats, proteins and carbs that are beneficial to the body. The body does, however, recognize and is able to assimilate properly prepared whole foods. Because every body is different and has different challenges, there is no one diet for every person. The recommendations we make are unique to each individual.
