Earn Cash for your School with Entenmann's

“Turn Trash to Cash” with Little Bites Pouches and Turn the Packaging into Innovative Products

April 3, 2015
One of the major Earth Day 2015 initiatives that Macaroni Kid is supporting is the “Turn Trash to Cash” campaign with Entenmann’s Little Bites Pouches. For the third year in a row, Entenmann’s is partnering with the recycling and upcycling experts at TerraCycle to create new lives for used Little Bites pouches, while at the same time help fundraise for schools.

Little Bites, the individually portioned lunch snack in a pouch that’s perfect for lunch boxes and grab-and-go fun come in a variety of flavors like Little Bites Chocolate Chip Muffins, Little Bites Crumb Cakes, the newest addition Little Bites Party Cakes. Schools participating in Entenmann’s Little Bites Pouch Brigade programs throughout the country collect empty Little Bites pouches to earn points that can be redeemed as cash for the school. The used packaging can also be turned into innovative new products at TerraCycle such as tote bags, pencil cases and even picnic benches. The Little Bites “Turn Trash to Cash” campaign demonstrates Entenmann’s dedication to recycling and reducing the amount of Entenmann’s Little Bites pouches that end up in landfills each year.

Entenmann’s Little Bites snacks is also partnering with the Arbor Day Foundation for Earth Day 2015 to launch a special Facebook Sweepstakes to help plant up to 25,000 trees in forests in need throughout the United States. Trees help clean the air!  Trees help fight climate change. Trees planted along waterways can help filter out chemicals that might otherwise wash to our water sources. Trees properly planted around a home can help lower air conditioning and heating costs by up to 25%!

The sweepstakes runs through April 30, 2015. Click here to enter and to help plant a tree.

So with your help, we can make Entenmann’s Little Bites Pouches “Turn Trash to Cash” campaign the best one yet. You can help earn cash for your school, upcycle pouches to keep them out of landfills and help the Earth. It’s a win-win for all!
