The Central Florida Zoo was a zoo like no other I'd been to before! We had such a great time visiting the zoo and gardens while we were in Florida. The zoo is located in Sanford, not far from Orlando.
We saw so many animals at the zoo and the kids were just fascinated by the animals that they don't see at our local zoos. The highlights for our family were the kangaroos and the elephant. I'm a frog collector (yes, I have tons...) and I loved the frogs that were at this zoo! They had so many different frogs and toads that I've never seen before. I took so many pictures!! The alligator and crocodile were a hit with the little guy! He was amazed by these creatures that he doesn't see at home. They had many great animal exhibits and we spent quite a bit of time at each cage just watching the animals. Animals are fascinating to my family. We always love a trip to the zoo.
My husband and 13 year old daughter were able to check out the ZOOm Air Adventure Park. This was an amazing experience for both of them. The ZOOm Air Adventure Park is a course that allows you to explore the tree tops from an animal's perspective! You are suited up with a harness and you climb into the trees and go from tree to tree a variety of ways. From different types of bridges to zip lines. Watching from the ground (I'm not a fan of heights), it did look really fun. They both had nothing but great things to say about this course. My husband said he'd go back again and again to play in the trees. They also have a course for the young kids (a little closer to the ground) and the kids were having a blast on that course all day!
If you make it to Florida on a family trip, I recommend checking out the Central Florida Zoo! And if you have kids that might enjoy it, the ZOOm Air Adventue Park is highly recommended by my family!!
