I enjoyed my first ever trip to Mexico last July and and it was truly an amazing experience! When I got the chance to go back and visit the beaches of Riviera Cancun, I jumped at the opportunity. I will absolutely be back to this beautiful area! There is so much to see and do if you are up for a tourist vacation. And so much relaxation to be had if you are up for a relaxing beach vacation. This year we went the relaxing route. And I wouldn't have it any other way! This resort was the perfect spot to enjoy that relaxation. With 6 gorgeous pools and an amazing beachfront area, this resort has it all!
Azul Beach Resort hosted our Macaroni Kid Publishers this year and this resort has it all and is a gourmet inclusive resort. You could truly do it all at one resort without even heading off site. They have many restaurants and bars to choose from. They also have 3 swim up bars if you are spending your days in the pool. Just make a reservation for dinner at one of their 4 all-inclusive restaurants for every meal. Or you can head to Spoon, where you can be seated for any meal without a reservation. I had a great breakfast at Spoon every day. Searching through their food display, I found many great choices for a healthy breakfast to start my day. We were treated to an amazing dinner at Le Chique during our stay. Le Chique is not included in the all-inclusive experience, but is on site and is absolutely worth visiting during your stay, especially if you are a foodie! Le Chique is voted the #1 restaurant in Mexico and #34 in Latin America by Travel + Leisure's Best of the Best Gourmet Awards. I can definitely see why! Our 14 course meal at Le Chique was the the best that I have had in my life. Amazing food so stunningly served and displayed. It was the experience of a lifetime. The resort staff was very helpful and friendly. They will take care of anything that you need. I do not speak Spanish, but was able to communicate with all staff members in English. The photo above was the view from my room. It was a glorious place situated right on the ocean.
We were on a girl's weekend spending time with other Publishers from across the country (and one from Canada). However, I would recommend this resort to any families looking for an amazing family-friendly resort. As part of the Karisma Gourmet Inclusive experience, "Toddler Inclusive" benefits are also included! This includes baby gear including strollers, cribs, pack 'n plays, bottle sterilizers, a toy-lending menu and organic baby food freshly made by their chefs. Gerber baby food is also available in all restaurants or from room service. Natural baby food can also be prepared by request. No lugging those strollers and pack 'n plays through the airport! Such a treat!
They have a special playhouse club for the kids full of daytime and evening activities in a colorful environment where it's easy to have fun and make new friends. From games and arts & crafts to hanging out with Nickelodeon characters and themed activities. The staff encourages play to make sure every child feels included and entertained. There is also a MyGym fitness Center in the Azulitos Playhouse for kids ages 4-12 to enjoy daily classes and programs. The facilities include ropes, parallel bars, trampolines, springboards and big floor pads. For teens they have the Extreme Breeze teen lounge. Geared for 13-17 year olds, they'll be thrilled with what awaits them: movies, music videos, Xbox, Playstation 3, Wii, billiards and air hockey. There are also daily activities organized outdoors, like a rock climbing wall and volleyball!
At Azul Beach Resort, adults can choose swim up suites to enjoy a pool right outside your room. They also have connecting suites if you need more space for a family and would like to still give teens and adults a bit of privacy. The rooms are very spacious and can sleep many comfortably. The balconies have gorgeous views of the resort and beach.
Whether you are planning a girl's trip, anniversary trip, wedding, family vacation or honeymoon...this resort will be a dream come true! So much to do and see right on site as well as many excursions that you can plan with the concierge.
