DULUTH, MN – Dec. 19, 2019 – Father Christmas has come early at Spirit Mountain this year. The resort has opened for the season and with the recent snow and ideal temps, multiple rounds of snowmaking have contributed to a solid base of up to 42 inches of snow.

This Saturday, December 21, the resort is kicking off the holiday season with the opening of its Grandy Side which adds 4 more trails to skiable terrain and will offer a special glow tubing evening from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. for $19 at the Adventure Park.  Spirit plans to be 100% open with all available terrain, slopes and parks on Christmas Eve.

“We are excited to kick off the holiday season and look forward to welcoming visitors to once again experience the holidays slopeside at Spirit,” said Brandy Ream, executive director at Spirit Mountain. “Those families looking for snow can definitely find it here.
