Weekly Publisher Note ~ April 14 - 20, 2021

By Jodi Lorence, Macaroni Kid Publisher April 14, 2021

Welcome all,

My heart is breaking with all the unrest that is going on in our state. I know that this is a scary time for me so I know that it must be horrible for our kids.  Hug your kids a little tighter and know that they too may be reacting in different ways because of the fear they have inside. Not only have we been dealing with covid and all that comes with that but the civil unrest and events that are occuring around us. Our kids deserve a better place to live. I have and will continue to teach kids right from wrong, respect for others, that rules and laws need to be followed, that getting a good education is very important, that you can do anything you put your mind to, that they are loved unconditionally, that hard work brings successes, to have compassion for others, that their family loves them, to serve others, that they are responsible for their actions and will be held accountable for them, and the list goes on. I have always tried to live a life that I would want them to be proud of. Kids learn from their surroundings. I want my kids to know that I love them and want the best for them. My heart cries for all the kids and adults that are hurting right now. We all have to do our part to make this life a better place for our children. They so deserve it. Hugs to you all for doing the best you can for your families.

I wish you all a week of hope, love, family togetherness, safety, and peace.

There's no one in the world more equipped and

prepared to help you thrive than your family.

It is important that we follow the guidelines set out by our government officials. Here is a great handwashing video to help prevent diseases like the Coronavirus. Here is a link to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention for information regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and more at Whitehouse.gov and the Minnesota Department of Health.
